Guest guest
I have to admit I wasn't ready for the news I received from my last trip to the eye doctor. I have been having a little trouble with my vision, but didn't think it was anything to worry about. When I went for my visit last Friday, I found out that I have subocular cataracts on both eyes and need to have surgery as soon as possible. I had noticed my vision was not as clear lately, but did not know it was as bad as I was told. When I went in less than 6 months ago, there were no signs on the cataracts. When I went in last Friday, they were both at +2. He said I was still street legal, but he could not say for how much longer because the cataracts came on so quickly. It also didn't make me feel really good when the technician measuring my eyes said she had never had a patient who was having surgery at such a young age. Needless to say, I had to schedule surgery before I left the office. I went for second opinion and received the same answer. Not real happy about it, but life goes on in th IgAN world! Surgery is schedule for September 28th. A month after my cytoxan treatment! Busy, busy, busy. Hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves. J.
