Guest guest
asked for some writing samples from our apraxic kids. I'm going to write two samples from my 8 year old, 2nd grade, twin daughters. was mildly apraxic and is pretty much resolved, but still has some articulation problems. has brain damage, and has had lots of difficulty with speech. She can talk, but she still has a lot of work to do. I left spelling and other errors in both writings. I would like to point out that we just found out that is gifted. These sample writings also were edited for errors. I think would have found several of her errors if she had proofread her writing. 's writing: I had a great time spending Easter with my family and friends. In the morning my brother, my sister, and I looked in our baskets to see whtat the Easter Bunny had left us. I got a little tamagotchi that started out as an egg. I also got a five dollar bill that was in an egg that was in the basket. After that, we went on an Easter egg hunt in our bacyard. We got marbles from eggs that had our names on them. In the afternoon, we went to a fun Easter party. We had another Easter egg hunt there. I think I will never forget that Easter. 's writing: My Vacation During my vacation I did these three things. First, I found my easter basket. In my easter basket there was a toy bunny, an egg with a five dollar bill, a jumprope, and sour candy eggs. The next thing I did was look for easter eggs. I found lots of easter eggs. The easter eggs with are names had marbles. Anther thing I did over was to go to Jillian's house. My sister and broter and I did anther easter egg hant. I found tweleve easter eggs. That was my best vacation ever!
