Guest guest
Hi , Wow, 50th wedding anniversary! That must have been a great celebration!!! Maybe one day you and I, and others on site will be celebrating the same wonderful life event. I'm only a little over 1/2 way there, but fairly stable marriage. We don't hardly ever argue, cause we are too busy working! I am so glad you will be able to see your daughters in another 2 weeks. Hopefully that will pick up your spirits during this stressful 2 week period while you are anxiously hoping your GFR will improve. Wishing you the best. I certainly agree with you regarding hoping the decrease in my GFR was due to recent illness. Now I wonder if in fact, I should have called my local neph last week. (hind sight, of course). But I definitely didn't want to go into the hospital, (not ER or otherwise), and I thought by now my labs would have corrected themself. My curent GFR is 46, not to bad, but considering I was 85 about a 1 1/2 years ago or so, seems like is declining more rapidly than I would have expected. " The waiting game... Chin up... " the power of positive thinking. I will also have the " opportunity " to see a new PCP next week. She's what a call a " baby " doctor, just got out of school a couple of years ago. That part is a little challenging, but she has a good reputation, so hopefully will be O.K. I already REALLY miss, my previous PCP. I would have called him (last week) if his office had still been open. He was/IS TOPS in my book. Oh, yeah, Me rest? Hahaha. What about you, my dear!!!!! Great to hear from you again, I'll try to pop in and out more frequently than the last couple of months. I head back home tonight. I'll be praying for you (more than ever) over the next couple weeks. I really and truely hope your GFR improves and stabilizes until your transplant process is more complete. Take the very best of care ! Guest guest
Bonnie, Your comments about the " baby doc " leapt right out at me. We saw our new baby doc last week. I tried to keep an open mind, but I confess Pierre's old line to the effect that you're not paying for the five minutes of their time, you're paying for the years of experience that preceeded it was ringing in my ear. What if you're not getting the years of experience either?. Granted, our old baby doc knew nothing about MPGN, but back then neither did we! Moreover, she didn't make decisions without checking the attending. Her strong suit was she wasn't a cowboy... and I worry about the current dude. Let us know how the new doc goes. Scarry territory. All the best, Cy Re: Popping out of Lurkdom for a few days: > Hi , > Wow, 50th wedding anniversary! That must have been a > great celebration!!!
