Guest guest
Hi Anne, A very warm welcome to you! I am sorry you were diagnosed with IgAN. Do you know if you had crescents in your biopsy? That is one factor that can indicate being at risk to progress. It is good that your BP is normal because elevated blood pressure would put you at great risk of kidney failure. We have had several members who have had great success with Cellcept. I tried it for three months last year but in hindsight I think my kidney disease was too progressed when I started it. I hope you have great success with it! Welcome again. In a message dated 8/5/2005 3:17:19 P.M. My creatinine level is 1.4 and I have protein and blood in my urine but I don't know the numbers. I was told I am at risk to progress because of my biopsy. I don't have high blood pressure. The Nepr thinks I have the slow kind so that is good news. I do have a question for you about the cellcept study. I am on 750mg twice a day of cellcept. How much do you take and do you take it on an empty stomach. What did they tell you to do. So far I've been lucky. I'm not sick that often. Other than the initially feeling lousy on the drug and being borderline constipated I am fine. I also take 20mg of lisinopril and 4 grams of fish oil. The lisinopril makes me dizzy when I get up from squating or being real low. Does anyone else experience this? Its kind of funny because I felt great before the IGA discovery and was diagnosed because I had an appendetomy. Now the drugs make me feel weird but I take them faithfully hoping for the best. I also was wondering if the study is just one year. I was told I would be on the drug for a year and then go off it. They might want to do a biopsy at the end of the year to see how it worked. I was wondering if anyone else is in this situation. Will you get the results of the study? Hope you enjoyed Rochester. I live in a suburb of St. , MN. Thanks Anne
Guest guest
I didn't have crescents so I think my prognosis is pretty good with the medications. --- W4JC@... wrote: > > Hi Anne, > > A very warm welcome to you!
