Guest guest
This is my 3rd week on WW. I was down 8 the first week and 5 the second week. Now on week three and the scale hasn't budged even though I've followed my points religiously and increased my daily workout from 20 min. on the stationary bike to 60 min. on the treadmill. Currently 247 with a short term goal of 190. What can I do to get the scale moving downward again?
Guest guest
BE PATIENT. You have lost a lot of pounds in a very short period of time. Now, your body needs to catch up. Did you measure your body the first week? Measure right now, even if you didn't and keep a record of that. There will be times that the scale won't move. I get really panicky when this happens, and I've blown in - only to gain weight back. I'm here to tell you, plateaus are part of the process for many people. Keep up your hard work and it will pay off. From now on, you should look for 1 to NO MORE than 3 pounds per week, unless you've been on an extended plateau. Safely, 2 pounds or less. Anything faster will come right back on. Why Haven't I Lost This Week? This is my 3rd week on WW. I was down 8 the first week and 5 the second week. Guest guest
Don't get discouraged, 13 pounds in 2 weeks is amazing! Give your body time to adjust, stay on points and keep exercising and the weight will come off, maybe not 5 or 8 pounds at a time anymore but it will come off. You body is just trying to figure out what happened to those 13 pounds, once it realizes it is getting them back it will start catching on to the diet and exercise and you will begin to see the numbers drop once again. A good weight loss is about 1-2 pounds a week after the first few wekks, any more than that is too fast, and you are more likely to gain it back if you lose too fast. HTH -- Garza sarahgarza@...
