Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm Michele. I just joined weight watchers " again " last week. I am a lifetime member who fell of the wagon. I hit lifetime a few years ago about a year and a half after my some was born. I stopped living the lifestyle and really was stress and bordom eating and not exercising (just here and there and far and few between). I gained a little more then 30 pounds since the time I hit goal. I had my goal set at the highest I could when I made lifetime, I would have liked to have made it lower but I originally set it high for the cost of weight watchers. I knew once I was within 2 pounds I wouldn't pay for weekly meetings anymore, so I wanted the most attainable goal there was. I stayed for my 6 weeks of maintemace, then checked it here and there, next thing you knew I just stopped going. I think if I would have continued the meetings I would have maintained, but I got cocky and figured I was fine...so here I am now the weight crept right up on me. I have a better outlook this time, I know it needs to be a life style change. My husband joined with me this time which is a real plus, I'm so proud of him for joining and he actually told me he was joining, then I decided to go with him!!!! I hope he stays committed because that really helps me when we are doing the same. I can't wait to read through all of your posts and learn what ever I can to stay motivated. Guest guest
Welcome ! My husband and I are doing WWers together as well. It truly has become a complete lifestyle makeover. We've been on it since February 2, 2002 and I've lost over 100 pounds and he's lost about 100 pounds. I hit goal in December 2002 (-92) and have maintained since then by just doing the same old same old! I find this way of life so much more enjoyable and fulfilling than my old life. Where I used to spend much of my time in front of a computer, watching TV and eating. Our leisure time was spent watching movies and hanging out together. Now if we want to see a movie, we ride our bikes or run there. Instead of all night watching TV we finish each workday with a run and start each morning with a workout at the YMCA. We eat healthy delicious food intentionally, not mindlessly. We spend weekends racing in 5ks, 10ks, and even half marathons. When we're not doing that we take long runs together (last week was 14 miles) training for a marathon. We do things like run down to Starbucks, have coffee together, and then run back. It's just so DIFFERENT from how life used to be and I love it! I wouldn't trade all that for anything. _____ From: chele323232 Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2005 5:21 PM To: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: Introduction - Another New Member Hi Everyone, I'm Michele.
