Oooh, I am hoping this month is the month for you!!! You never

know when it will happen--lots of women get pg without help, even

after years of trying. My mom tried for #2 (me) for 5 years before

it happened. And here I am!

The first response early result pg test detects hcg down to like

50, and I got a positive at 42 w/this pg (2-5 days before af was due).

They also seem to have some false positives, but it's just a thought.

I think you don't have much of a chance of seing anything on an hpt

until 10 dpo. Even after 10 dpo you get a lot of false negatives.

Most people will tell you that you should, for economic reasons, wait

until your period is due. I, on the other hand, will tell you to

test whenever the heck you need to so you can go to bed that night

without laying there until 3 a.m. wondering " I wonder if its

positive!?!?! " .

My cycles range from 28-33 days long. What never changes by more

than 1 day is the number of dpo. It is always 12 or 13 for me, and

for most women its pretty consistent. So, if I don't ovulate until

day 20 I can have a 33 day cycle and AF is still not technically

late. Do you know when you ovulated and what your typical luteal

phase (number of days from o to af) is? This will help save some

money on hpts if you're like me!! I swear I should buy stock in

these companies. The woman at the drug store near our house must

think I'm some kind of a nut with the amount I buy...

junkies (like me) start testing 3-4 days BEFORE AF is due!

Seriously, you should be able to get an accurate reading any time

now. I hope this is IT for you!!!

Sounds like your body is getting back to normal? How long are your cycles

ususally? As for the hpt....gee, I couldn't wait, I try to buy the test where

you can test up to 3 days before af is due? (can't remember the name of it) I

am glad you are going to start ttc next month (if by chance you are pg this

month, that would be great though!) I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I know deciding to start ttc after the loss is not always easy, I know I was

really scared. Take care and good luck and of course keep us posted.

Thanks DeeAnn. I am a big chicken - I didn't get the test. I keep having

twinges all over my abdomen but nothing like I would expect for AF. Sort of

twinges, which is what I had with my ep when I first found I was pg. If

nothing shows by the time I leave work today, I will buy the hpt on my way

home.

I want to know, but if it's +ve then all the worrying starts!

before I went to sleep b/c I had mild cramps, which I thought af was surely

coming........so you never know!! I am praying for you and sending lots of

I honestly have no idea how long anything is in my cycle! before my ep,

I ranged from 27 to 34 days with no regular pattern. I did take temps

before I started clomid and it seemed I didn't ovulate until around cd18.

Once my RE reckoned we had the clomid dosage etc worked out he didn't seem

the need for BBT anymore. I quickly fell out of that habit, let me tell

you. I think I will starting taking them again because if I do get pg, I

would like to know when it might have happened.

I still haven't bought a hpt - maybe I should the money I would have saved

is spent on toilet paper constantly going and peeing and then checking the

paper (just in case).

A little tip - DON'T BUY PRINTED toilet paper when expecting AF! The one i

have at home has little orange flowers on it, and when its wet they look

red. I don't really want to be looking that closely!

My 'normal' is abnormal. So seeing as we are at cd31 I think maybe I am

getting back to 'normal'. 'Normal' for me is between 27 & 34 days.

I haven't asked dh for his opinion - I don't want to burst his bubble!

My dh is more attuned to my body than I am. He usually can tell (by my

moods) which stage of cycle I am at!

It's amazing how neurotic we all get sometimes checking for AF.
