....I am almost willing to BET mine will be gone within days!!! My level is

STILL doubling. I thought the methotrexate would at least slow it down. It

was 104 on Wednesday...as of today it's 500 and began giving me stabbing

pain last night...and of course my doctor is out of town and I'm stuck with

a female " Dr. Textbook " ... " Repeat the draw on day 7 after the

methotrexate... " she says, which of course isn't until Thursday...so I

talked her into Wednesday, but honestly I now have a slight fever and my

side is hurting, but not constantly or as bad as a rupture...So, I guess I

have no choice but to sit here and let whatever happens, happen...

I am soooo scared of losing this tube...I went thru so much trouble to get

them repaired I feel like losing one ought to be enough punishment for

whatever I've done wrong...I swear, I don't know if I'll even be able to

function...right now I am thinking so many crazy thoughts, I scare myself...

Anybody else have pain that went down the front of their thigh? That's

what's happening...my uterus and left side feel tight and a pain travels

from my left side all the way down my thigh...

This sucks...

honey,

You've done nothing wrong. Please try not to think of it that way. You've

been so strong, and I know you're scared, but if you've decided to go IVF,

maybe this just has to happen first to clear the way for a successful IVF

pregnancy?

You've already seen that our sisters who've lost their faulty tubes are

resting a lot easier than those of us who kept a tube capable of trapping

another little one in them.

I know you don't want it to go, but if it does, just keep on remembering you

don't need tubes for IVF. You DO have a plan, you DO have direction, and

we'll all be here for you while you go thru this setback.

Prayers and (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) for you.

Hang in there,

~Maree

Yes - I had pain down the front of my legs (both sides for me). BUT

this wasn't the pain that I felt when I ruptured. This was mostly

concentrated in the abdomen/back.

I'm so sorry! I can't believe this. I do know your numbers should

go up a bit after the metho, but this seems too long after.

Would you consider going to the ER if the pain gets any worse? I did

rupture about two weeks *after* my metho shot - and my levels were

dropping. I'd feel better knowing you had an ultrasound that showed

no free fluid in your abdomen. I hope I'm not scaring you, but I

really want that tube to be as healthy as possible!!

If you think your tube is about to rupture, you need

to go to an ER. a rupturing tube is LIFE THREATENING.

I can't believe the doctors wouldn't want you to come

in if they knew your levels were doubling and you had

thigh pain and a fever. Those are bad signs.

Call your doctor. Go to an ER. You do not want to

start bleeding internally!

M, honey, I am so sorry. Please don't see this as a punishment. It is

definately not a punishment. I don't think things in life really work that way.

Sometimes things just happen (I know that doesn't make it any better), but you

can't be hard on yourself. You are going through an awful lot and I am sorry to

hear it. Please post as often as you need to. We are all here for you. Again,

you are in my prayers.

I am so sorry you are going through this! I'm praying the #s will

start to go down by Thursday. If they don't, the drs can do

another round of methotrexate before surgery. (Then it's blood

draws at days 3 and 7 after shot #2). I'm still hoping you won't need

surgery . . .

Take Care, we're all thinking of you,

Oh honey I am sorry that the metho doesn't appear to be working. Maybe a

second shot would do the trick? From what I've heard here it isn't all that

unusual to need a second round.

Please don't think this is happening because you are a bad person..that is

most definately not the case! You are a wonderful person and don't let any

one ever tell you any different.

Regarding the pain in your leg...I had pain in my leg but it was down the

back side...felt like my butt and leg muscles were really sore like I had

over exercised them or something. I even remember sitting in school the

night before surgery and trying to stretch the muscles to relieve some of

the tension...obviously that didn't work. So be careful with that and

monitor it closely (I know you don't need to be told that).

I hope and pray that you can keep your tube. I know that means alot to you

and I can completely understand that after everything you've been through.

Becca is right, maybe you should go to er if it keeps up. I too had the metho

inj. and the following week my tube ruptured. I am really praying for you.

Oh .....I can't believe you are going through all this. I just hate it

for you ;(

I don't know if I could just sit around and wait knowing what we all know

now. Maybe if you just showed up at the emergency room...couldn't they at

least do an u/s to see what's going on in there?? You poor dear. I didn't

have any pain in my thigh with my EP, but I do every month when AF showed up.

Don't know if that's connected but...I am keeping you in my prayers.

M,

I'm behind on the messages so this may not still be an issue, but if you're

having pain I would go to the ER and let them determine that you're not in

danger of rupturing. Lap surgery is more intrusive than metho, but much less

intrusive than rupturing, losing a tube and major surgery.

Hang in there.

Love,

Carmen
