Guest guest
Very interesting Tory, because I read what you do and your doing so well.. my guess is your still adding muscle.. and thus maybe this helps to retain water also... but you doing great anyway.. as long as you know...I am glad you post your weight regardless because it lets us know that doing it all right all the time, does not mean the scale will show it...thanks....Kallie ------------------------------------------------------------- In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Tory Klementsen " wrote: > Up 2 pounds. > > Why? > > I have NO idea!!!! > > I was POP every single day so I guess all I can say is...obviously the > earth's gravitational pull has become stronger because it couldn't be ME! > LOL! > > Last week: 117 > This week: 119 > > > > > ~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~' > Tory Klementsen, MCP A+ > Career and Technology Educator > www.teechur.com > www.msteechur.com > -The successful person will do the things that the unsuccessful person will > not. > > > > >

Guest guest
Kerri: A few years back I lost 65 pounds (on high protein, didn't last). Anyway, I had (have) stretched skin in my ab area. At the time I was doing 100 -150 sit ups a day. It is my understanding that the answer to your question depends a lot on heredity, how long the skin has been stretched, age, etc. Most on this site have said they would rather have the extra skin than the fat. And there are many on this site that have lost a lot of weight. I've read that exercise really helps, but it has more to do with elasticity in the skin, which tends to not be as elastic as we age. Personally, I would rather have the extra skin. Guest guest
I can answer the tummy question from my own experience. I've lost just over 100 pounds. From the chest up, I look great. From the thighs down, likewise. Have you ever read the book of " The Portrait of Dorian Gray " ? From my sboob to my upper thighs all of the evil dark sins of my past are visited. Flabarooni! The skin has not shrunk back. I've tried 450 crunches a day. Nuttin'. I have great abs UNDER all the skin, and very good core strength, but on top is a lot of flabby skin. You know what though? So what! At " pushing 40 " (which does earn you APs) I'm over piercing my belly button and wearing bikinis. Would I like to have abs like Brittney Spears? Heck yeah, but health is way more important and clothes hide a multitude of sins. _____ From: Stanton Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 2:20 PM To: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: RE: Re: Tory's %$!#* WI Kerri: A few years back I lost 65 pounds (on high protein, didn't last). Guest guest
Yeah, I was actually reading a book today about marathon training and it is quite common to gain 4-6 pounds during training. I guess the reason is that your muscles grow (obviously) and they also retain more water in preparation for the endurance sport. In addition, your blood volume increases. So I have decided that since I know that I'm doing everything right, I'm going to stay off the scale for one month and set aside the concern until I do the marathon. If I do not feel tightness in my clothing, I won't worry about it. _____ From: Kallie Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 10:09 AM To: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: Re: Tory's %$!#* WI Very interesting Tory, because I read what you do and your doing so well.. my guess is your still adding muscle.. and thus maybe this helps to retain water also... but you doing great anyway.. as long as you know...I am glad you post your weight regardless because it lets us know that doing it all right all the time, does not mean the scale will show it...thanks....Kallie ------------------------------------------------------------- In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Tory Klementsen " wrote: > Up 2 pounds. > > > > >
