Guest guest
I looked at their site and it looks more like for developmentally delayed adults. However, Disney is very accommodating to those with disabilities. I would proceed with caution b/c let's face it it is cheaper to do it on your own. I can take my own pictures too! denise > > http://dreamtoursflorida.com/ > here is the link > Orlando/ Disney World vacations for the Developmentally Disabled! > > > > > > Orlando/ Disney World vacations for the Developmentally Disabled! > > Dream Tours is a new guided tour organization, that provides supervised > > all inclusive vacations to people with special needs from all over the US, > > to the Florida attractions; > > Vacationers will see fantastic shows, awesome firework displays, meet live > > Disney characters, and eat at a variety of restaurants. Guest guest
Jeanne, hi! I am in Ct with a mild autistic child who is primarily affected in speech and expressive language. I wanted to let all know that with a simple letter from a ped. , parents can receive a " pass " from Guest Relations to have accessibility to all rides. The letter needs only to be on official office stationary and contain information with regard to diagnosis or what would aid the child in having successful experience. What this meant for our family of five was either entering through fast pass or handicapped entrances. Our child has a difficult time with transitioning; and with two older siblings, this could have been a nitemare. However with this pass, we were able to access rides at all parks within a reasonable wait. I believe 10 minutes was our longest. When you receive the pass from guest relations, it will be " good " for all parks and the entire length of your stay. Guest relations is available inside and outside of parks...our advice, go to the ones INSIDE the park for shorter lines and quicker service. Hope this helps. missy *** one unrelated note... we purchased crystal lite packets to add to 16oz of water, so we would not have to resort to soda or juices. Disney will allow bottles of water into its parks. Guest guest
Hi.. I am Carolyn McGaha with a son who is " special " and can't be in the sun at all... so we always get the handicap pass from Disneyworld...IT is a very good idea to have the letter w/you from your doctor, but if you don't... then make sure your child is in a wheel chair... We have our own, so they knew he was handicap just by looking. There are 3 different types of passes... one is just the regular one where you enter the handicap entrance, but have to wait in line for a while... the second one is what we have... no wait... in immediately in the handicap entrance unless it is in the sunlight, they bring us through the back entrance....some rides have no special entrance so they send you in the fastpass lane as well. The 3rd pass is for catastrophic illnesses, which we could use because our son has pyruvate carboxylase... which is very dangerous...We like to use the 2nd pass because we look at our son's diagnosis as a blessing that we finally know what it is and we like to just keep doing what we have to do to keep him healthy. Plus use your judgement on rides as well.. our son can only go on baby rides and slow rides.... If any of you are going to the parks.. let me know and I can tell you exactly where to go... as you enter any of the parks.. we used to go 5 x yearly.. now we go 2x yrly.. Thank you Carolyn McGaha
