Guest guest
Hi Dana, I am glad to have opened the discusson on this topic. My fatigue is mainly a feeling of tiredness both physically and mentally, and unable to motivate myself. Doc says this is classic for depression from burnout. Being objective I cant disagree, but like you say I cant help thinking, which came first. I am keeping an open mind for now, but realise sometimes, the obvious anwser is sometimes the right one. I too have feelings of shame and weakness about having depression. Having said that, I have been so low and had so many problems recently, I have gone past caring, which is perhaps why I am so open. Have done the Group Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), maintained regular hard exercise and taken the prescribed meds (tried prozac, venlafaxine and now on duloxetine) all have helped to some extent, but still not as I used to be. I saw the program on UK TV recently and he had an American phychiatrist talk about intuition. She said we are naturally intuitive about problems with our bodies and to have the conviction to follow up if we think things are wrong. This made me feel a bit stronger about the fatigue and follow up with questions. Take care. K
