Guest guest
My experience is that you have to stay ever-vigilant. I've been on this 7 months with great success, but I still have times when I feel myself start to get out of control. During those times, what saves me is only having low point stuff around the house. If I start inhaling everything in sight, at least its not gonna put me over my points + my allowance. As far as craving specific things, I've found I stay nearly completely satisfied with " equivalents " . If I want ice cream, I have Skinny Cows, if I want chips, I have the baked versions, brownies? No Pudge!, etc. > > How is everyone managing their cravings? Guest guest
I try to stay very busy, and always keep a bottle of water with me. If I have a salty craving I count out a serving of pretzels for 2 points or a bag of popcorn for 2 points. If i have a sweet craving, I get a chocolate bran muffin for 2 points or a caramel or chocolate rice cake for 1 point. HTH -- Garza sarahgarza@... greetings! How is everyone managing their cravings? Guest guest
I've been having trouble with cravings. I bought 2 books from Weight Watchers that have helped me a lot. One is called, " Weight Loss That Lasts " by M. Rippe, MD & Weight Watchers, and the other is called, " Stop Stuffing Yourself, 7 steps to conquering overeating " by WEight Watchers. They are simple books to read, somewhat intuitive. But they have reminded me that my cravings are mostly emotional, and help me to get to the bottom of the problem. I highly reccommend them if you need some organized motivation. I'm sure I will always have the cravings, but what I can change is my reaction to the cravings. Do I let my emotions rule me or do I figure out how to fix whatever is wrong. For me, the cravings come because something is bothering me. Could be my stress level is way to high, so I have to figure out what is the problem. Too much going on, or is something not handled that should be... Could be many things, but I have been able to isolate most of it. Sometimes its because I'm really hungry because I've upped my excersize routine or I've lowered points. But once I've isolated what the problem is, faced it, I am better able to make a decision on how to handle it. OK, enough said. greetings! How is everyone managing their cravings?
