JD coming Home

We have been informed that JD will possibly be released from Childrens Medical

Center Dallas into the care of his mother and I and his home nurses sometime

today. The doctors feel that JD is well enough to come home but is still sick

and his recovery will take some more time. There is still some swelling in his

trachea (tracheitis) but his secretions have subsided. His pulmonologist has

reiterated to us that with the winter months here and a major polar air mass on

the way that JD is very susceptible to infections and will be for quite some

time. The simplest exposure to any type of infection whether small or large is

very serious with JD because he is trached and because of his prematurity and

age. We appreciate all of your prayers and calls and we apologize for not

returning calls but most of our time this past week was devoted to

and we cannot answer phones in his room. We ask for understanding in that it is

very difficult to take care of 1 sick child but we have had two this past week

with Olivia having some allergy and sinus problems. It has been a much more

busier week than the norm this past week and looks like with JD coming home it

will continue to be.

We will update more when we know more.

Keep praying and Keep believing. Miracles do happen and dreams do come true.

, Mandy, Olivia (14 months and starting to walk), and Barton

(cHArgEd 14 months)

I'll keep my fingers crossed he makes it home and has a germ-free winter!
