Guest guest
My dd's (5yo) speech therapist thinks she may have apraxia or some type of oral motor delay. After some research, I think it may be apraxia, as she has more of the " symptoms " . I'm a COTA (cert. occupational therapy asst.) myself, but I never worked with children. I only worked with the older population in a rehab hospital. So, anyway, I remember learning about it in college, but haven't had the hands on experience with this. I'm not currently working, I homeschool my 4 children. Anyways, what do I need to do to get a dev. ped.? I guess I need to talk to my regular pediatrican and ST, right? Does anyone know of any in the Chattanooga area? We are close to Atlanta too. Thanks.
