AlertCPR Emergency Training will be offering an Initial Emergency Care

Instructor course on October 26-27, 2007 in ville. Graduates will

be certified to teach CPR/AED and First Aid, and may optionally be

certified to teach a wide variety of other safety and health courses

offered by ASHI (the American Safety and Health Institute), including

Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Oxygen, Emergency Medical Response for

the Workplace (combines all the basic safety courses in one), Wilderness

First Aid, Wilderness EMT Upgrade, ACLS, PALS, First Responder, HAZCOM,

and many other safety-related programs.

Any currently certified EMS instructors or instructors with other

nationally recognized emergency care agencies (currently AHA, ARC, NSC,

and MFA) can be granted reciprocity and don't need to attend this

I'll be teaching the course, and I've been teaching EMS and Emergency

Care for 22 years, so it should be a good course. The course itself is

based on the National Standards for EMS Educators curriculum. All ASHI

courses are fully compliant with the latest (2005) ILCOR/AHA Guidelines.
