For those of you new to the group you should know the following:

My PSC diagnosis came as a complete surprise -- we were trying to find the cause of a spike in total cholesterol and found gallstones in my CBD which led to an ERCP. I had NO symptoms of PSC other than the cholesterol issue.

Most of the damage done to my liver was the result of the first ERCP which caused pancreatitis and the second ERCP which caused a life-threatening infection and necessitated a 7 hr. surgery (hepaticojejunostomy).

So, it is remotely possible that I would be doing well anyway.
