I hate autism. I hate it I hate it I hate it. My daughter does

nothing but cries and screams and bites herself. My son will do

nothing but march up and down in front of the fridge and blow on his

god damn string. I try to distract one, the other is in trouble.

Add to that a jealous 1 year old and it makes for a fun fun night.

My husband has to work 2nd shift again, so he sleeps all day and I

feel like a single parent again.

I'll feed you at my pity party, but yall have to bring your own

drinks.

I think you should lock at least one of them in the bedroom with their

father......just so he can stay familiar to the child ;-)

Hang in there! I'd offer to distract or entertain at least one of them, but

I don't think you want to drive up here where it's normally cold!

Well for starters, there are certain movies he will

not be watching anymore. This is where he's getting

the words, I think. I spoke to his psych and he said

not to make a big deal of it, and that removing any

books, movies or tv shows with bad words is a good

start. I've spoken to his teacher, and she's going to

document how often he says what and we'll see if it

gets better or worse. If it gets worse, we'll do some

social stories.

What bothers me is that this has been going on for

several weeks, and his aide and teacher didn't tell

me. Ug. They told his psych and that's how I found

out.

He watched some Austin Powers movies and started

saying " Fat Bastard " over and over again. He thinks

it's very funny, and just thinks it's a character

name. Now I've been working on him at home, but had no

idea he was saying this at school because no one said

anything. Silly me, I assumed they tell me if he was

swearing in class. When the psych visited 's

class, the teacher told him about it and asked him if

I should be informed. His answer was " You haven't told

her yet?! "
