I've mostly laid off the RPG's over the past couple of years in favor of my writing, but I've been known to GM a game or two here and there. I'm also planning on attending DunDraCon next month, and possibly running a game there. -- Sláinte, S. PsioniCon... the world's best Con because you > can attend it in your underpants. Never been to PsioniCon myself. Sounds on-line. > And just to make this on topic... running RPGs is a > great way to excercise. If you run a live-action role-playing game (LARP), it's even more exercise, because you're on your feet the entire time, running all over the site and talking to everybody to make sure the game's going well and to make sure the story's on track. It's also an exercise in sheer madness. > Also, RPGs have shown to be a great teaching device. Very true. And therapeutic as well: I know of at least one psychologist who regularly used the Star Wars role-playing game to treat his schizophrenic patients. And, contrary to popular belief, the suicide rate among teenagers who play Dungeons and Dragons has been shown to be statistically LESS than their peers. -- Sláinte, S.
