Guest guest
Martha, I knew a mother who did it for awhile. She was maximum PMSing the whole time. I don't know if there was any correlation, but afterwards she had to go on thyroid meds. and her level never stabilized. There are increased risks with the patch being published. My feeling is-if it ain't broke..... in Ma.
Guest guest
Hi, all, What do you know about " Depo " shots? A nurse suggested that we might consider moving from the Premarin and Provera to just the one shot every three months. The only young woman I know using this approach is absolutely huge; it that's a frequent side efffect, I don't want on it. Let me know what you know about going this route. Thanks --- Martha
Guest guest
Hi Martha, I would be very wary of putting on the depo shot. I was on it for a number of years and decided to go off last spring. Before I started depo, I was a size 6-7, well I'm not that anymore! LOL However, since I've gone off of it, I have lost 30 pounds without hardly any effort. So be very aware that weight gain is a def. possibility. I wasn't 100% sure it was the depo shot or quitting smoking that made me gain weight as both happened literally the same day, but now I am positive it was the shot since I've suddenly started losing weight once off it. Unless its absolutely nessisary, I wouldnt bother doing it. And if you do chose to have her take it, really watch her food consumption, encourage really healthy foods and physical activity.
