Guest guest
I sit here with my 8 week old in a sling as I type ... he is my 2nd child and I feel like I am carrying a third still in my belly!! The second one is far different than the first as he is COLICKY and cries A LOT! I had grand plans of walking, running and just getting back to business at the 8 week point. But it's not happening. I did sign up for a 1/2 marathon (in AUGUST 2005!!) to give me a goal and something to work on ... but I need more help. Between the crying (his and mine!) and the demands of my four year old ... and the feeling of not fitting into ANYTHING yet -- HELP! (it feels good to vent ... if nothing else!) Guest guest
Welcome!Congrats on the new baby !! It will get better, just hang in there. I have a new grandchild and my daughter was in the same boat as you. The baby is now 5 months old and very charming. My daughter has lost a lot of weight and feels much better! I know you will too very soon! Debbie > > I sit here with my 8 week old in a sling as I type ... he is my 2nd > child and I feel like I am carrying a third still in my belly!! Guest guest
Kathleen, Welcome to this group and congratulations on your new second child! It WILL get better, I promise. I've done what you're doing four times, plus I was a foster mom to 10 more medically fragile babies, and I can relate to the colic and other stresses. Go ahead and allow yourself to cry--it's a much-needed release when a woman is where you are! Best wishes to you as you do your WW program as well... Keep in touch with this group for ongoing encouragement and good, strong shoulders to occasionally cry on! Hugs, Bette in CA

Guest guest
Wow, Bette! You're so amazing and unselfish to be a foster. I have much respect for you!
