Guest guest
I've had it as a symptom when I was extreme hyper and in storm..but not as a hypo.... Still have hot feet though.. very rarely wear shoes and only wear socks with my shoes, in the winter, when I leave the house, out of the mental logic that it would be a dumb way to die, stranded and have my feet freeze. Guest guest
Hi Bernetta, Are you retaining water in your hands as well? I've always retained water and get hot hands and feet around my period. But since I went hypo, I have it even when I'm not on my period. My doc says the hypothyroidism has caused "estrogen dominance" - he put me on natural progesterone and it's helped a lot. Just my thoughts... M.Bernetta Elliott wrote: Has anyone had or heard that very very hot hands is a thyroid symptom? Thanks, Bernetta We won't tell. Guest guest
Hi, I guess I should have said that it is my husband that has the hot hands and he is cold a lot. We live in Florida. On Sat. night we were out side and he said it's cold I looked and it was 88 out. He said I have to go get a flannel shirt. The next day I took his temp and it was 94.6. So I started wondering if maybe his thyroid had a problem. And this hand thing is really bothering him. He says they are burning up. He always has a bowl of ice or is hanging on to a ice cube. So I wondered if anyone had heard of this. Thanks, Bernetta -- Re: Symptom--very hot hands Hi Bernetta, Are you retaining water in your hands as well? Guest guest
Hi Bernetta, The symptoms you mention could be related to hypothyroidism. Being Hypo, I get cold easier than others no matter what the temp is outside. Also, my own temperature is below normal (but mine has never been as low as your husband's). My hands and feet tend to be cold, but if I'm retaining water, they get hot and sore....and men can retain water for various reasons. Is he having any other symptoms/complaints? I would recommend your husband see a doctor to have blood work done. M.Bernetta Elliott wrote: Hi, I guess I should have said that it is my husband that has the hot hands and he is cold a lot.
