Guest guest
Selenium can be taken any time during the day, best taken with food though... Magnesium.. I know lots of folks like to take it at night.. it is supposed to help with leg cramps and helps some folks sleep better. Guest guest
I'd like to know that too. I just started Selenium yesterday and took it with supper. I didn't sleep very well, wonder if I took it too late? Lori What to take to boost my adrenals and wake up my Libido I have Selenium and magnesium but cant remember what time of day is best to take it and whether I should take them both together. Guest guest
Try taking it with breakfast.. since the Selenium is used during hormone conversion.. it could be it helped to kick up your conversion and your body wasn't used to it for sleeping yet.... I happen to quarter mine and take it with four meals during the day.. again... I have this thing about trying to even out stuff during the day, if I can... Guest guest
, Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow morning. Is it common to get slight headaches with Vitamin C, Selenium, or any vitamin for that matter. I'm not sure why, but seems like I've been getting them since starting all this stuff. I can't imagine headaches being a good sign of changes?? I usually consider them something I've done wrong against my body. Sometimes I catch myself thinking this is all just too much to handle (all these pills). I went to the store yesterday and bought a few more vitamins, thinking I need them. I haven't opened them, even thought of returning them already! At what point should enough be enough? I'm so used to my one thyroid pill in the AM and antidepressant in the PM and that's it. Tell me I'm not crazy, please......Lori Re: What to take to boost my adrenals and wake up my Libido Try taking it with breakfast.. since the Selenium is used during hormone conversion.. it could be it helped to kick up your conversion and your body wasn't used to it for sleeping yet.... Guest guest
You're not crazy.... you're noticing changes.. changes in your body, changes in things that you think about... you are learning new things and some of them are over whelming.. It's really really easy to get too over enthused and confused and overwhelmed.. that can cause headaches all by itself... Relax.. you dont need to do every thing all at once, it's not even a good idea to make all kinds of changes in how you do things all at once... Take a step back.. relax.... You've taken the first step, the biggest step. Realizing that you can learn more about what is going on and start making educated decisions. as you learn and understand more stuff you will be able to have better discussions with your doc, understand more about what he's saying, be better able to explain what you are feeling and all that good stuff. Headaches are often the body saying that something is off... use it as the message to calm down and not be as enthused about making so many changes all at once... Patience... it's the next hardest thing to handle... You'll get the hang of it... when the time is right the different stuff won't be so different and will fit right in.. some will still be a bother... but it's worth it when you start feeling better. Now.. take the rest of the night off and do something that you enjoy... Tomorrow is going to be a new day. Right? * nudge nudge* c'mon.. right??? Guest guest
You're right......once again! Speaking of talking with my doctor........ as I look back on things with my last doctor's appt, it seems as though she was VERY willing to just do what I asked. She didn't offer much input in the way of direction and knowledge. She just asked what I wanted to switch to from Levoxyl. Gave me the choice, which was good, but I would've felt more comfortable thinking she knew a lot about thyroid issues. She did tell me how to decrease this, add that, etc. but I'm feeling "slightly" uneasy about her really helping me get this fixed. Hmmm....lots to think about there. I guess my next appointment will tell me a lot more. And, I will step back, relax, and go water the flowers. Thanks again, Lori Re: What to take to boost my adrenals and wake up my Libido You're not crazy.... you're noticing changes.. changes in your body, changes in things that you think about... you are learning new things and some of them are over whelming.. Guest guest
Lightbulb moment: I have always taken the Selenium at dinner time. Guess I'm going to have to start taking it in the morning and see if it makes a difference. Guest guest
drink lots of water when you are taking all this stuff because you want to flush out the bad, that could be causing you headaches............Lori wrote: , Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow morning.
