Guest guest
Today is a great day, one that was a long time coming. After 8 months of active treatment I a finally finished. I had surgery on the 6th of July(IDC. 3.2 cm tumor, one node positive, grade 3 ER+ PR+ Her- ) Started Chemo Aug. 10 was supposed to have 6 rounds of TAC but had such a bad reaction to the Taxatore that I wound up having to split it off and do 4 rounds of AC and 4 rounds of Taxatore. Finally finished that the 8th of January. Had to wait a month to start radiation so that started the First week in February. Had 20 rounds of that 16 regular and 4 boosts. TODAY WAS THE LAST OF THOSE!!!! Hooray! I now get six weeks of peace before I start one of the AI's. My oncologist says that they all basically do the same thing so I am not sure which one I will end up with. I am leaning towards Femora because it is not steroid based and have some prejudice against steroids because of reactions that my husband had while on them. I never posted much about my treatment or what was going on but read virtually every post over the last 8 months and really appreciate just hearing from others that are going throught the same things. THANKS FOR JUST BEING HERE. It has made a very long and ardous road just a little easier to travel. in Denver

Guest guest
All I get is the pat on the back, husband allergic to alcahol (has asthma attacks and quits breathing) and daughter has migraines triggered by chocolate. Not much fun celebrating while they watch. Hopefully tonight but next week at the latest I will get the greatest joy of all a new grandson. Mom called a couple of hours ago and said the contractions are coming about 7 minutes apart. in Denver > > > > Today is a great day, one that was a long time coming.
