Temper/anger/rage issues when raising dose

I tried to self dose in the past, and still had hypo symptoms, blood

work showed fairly high T4 and really high T3... but nothing crazy.

BUT I had BAD, BAD, BAD, rage, angry, ugly, mean type fits and was

afraid, seriously, that Id hurt one of my kids or something,

emotionally or even physically. I broke down and went back to the doc

and am low now, of course, but afriad of self dosing due to the rage

events. (I have Graves. Treated 20 years ago with RAI) What could

casue this? Im fairly adrenal stupid. Ive had people try to explain it

to me (repeatedly) and I cant grasp it. Could this be my problem...

Could be whacked adrenals..

Could be incorrect conversion, conversion of too much reverse T3, which I

understand can cause rage in some.

Hormone resistance. that your blood levels showed high but that your

hormone receptors are picking up the available hormone.

Another variable could be when you dosed in relation to the labs... if

you dosed shortly before the labs you can show higher levels because of

what you just took.

Adrenal issues are common, and the easiest to check, I'd start there.

What were your sleep habits like during the period of time when you had

the feeling of 'rage'.?

Are you sure that your entire gland was cooked?

Again, you need ALL of these hormones tested to see what is out of balance

here. This includes cortisol, dhea, estrogens, progesterone, possibly one

or two of the substances made by the other part of the adrenal glands. One

thing distinct about the endocrine system is that they all work

harmoniously, and if one is off, probably others are. It seems like, with

most of us here on these boards, it is sooner or later discovered that the

crazy thyroid stuff has messed up something, as they are all grossly

dependent on each other.
