Guest guest
Hi Everyone - I had some sudden symptoms (swollen feet/ankles) last week that sent me to the doctor and bloodwork has reveaved I'm hyperthyroid. The numbers on the first test were TSH - .014, T4 Thyroxine 16.0 and T3 456, but I don't have a reference range for what's normal. Can anyone help? Everything else came back normal. They drew more blood today for additional tests and I've been referred to an endocrinologist. I'm scheduled for a bone density test and nuclear thyroid uptake/image next week. I've been on Lasix for the swelling and a beta-blocker for heart palpitations (started when I had bronchitis in March) since last week. Is there anything I should be doing in terms of diet and nutrition (one symptom I don't have is weight loss!) with this? Thanks!
