Guest guest
Hi - I'm new here. I have been on 0.75 synthroid for quite some time but didn't feel I was getting much better, so we increased the synthroid to .125 about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I seem to be more restles and nervous. I know that some people say things can seem to get worse for a while when they increase. I don't think I'm going " hyper " - I'm exhausted but just seem more restless/nervous than I did before. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it pass? Any observations would be appreciated. Thank you. Cathy.
Guest guest
One of the problems with many of us is that so many of us haven't had other hormones tested also. The endocrine system has to be in balance, not just one hormone, if there are others out of whack. I'm not saying this is the case with you, but if you haven't had other testing, such as with cortisol, dhea, estrogens, progesterone, hormones from the other part of the adrenal glands, then you don't really know everything going on in there. Could be that you should have been increased only 25 mcgs instead of the 50 mcgs that you were increased, then go up later on on that, don't know. But, as said, there may be other hormones out of balance too.
