Important Notice about August GETAC Meetings

Texas EMS/Trauma System stakeholders:

Given current uncertainties about ongoing Texas weather events

(potential flooding from TS 's remnants; the approach of Hurricane

Dean) and the State's need to ramp-up disaster preparedness activities

to support local areas as needed, Dr. Racht and Pete Wolf have decided

to postpone the GETAC Retreat scheduled for this week-end, August 17-20.

A decision about when to re-schedule it will be made sometime in the

future.

> Also, please note: they have also determined that a decision about

> whether to hold GETAC meetings as scheduled on August 22-24 will be

> made no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 21. We'll send out a

> notice via this and other stakeholder listserves when that decision

> has been made.
