Question about surgery after chemotherapy

If you have some experience with this timeline would you let me know?

I would so appreciate it. Bi-lateral mast on December 7th with tissue

expanders put in place at the same time. The expanders have been

filled with the maximum 550ccs of saline. I am now doing 4 rounds of

taxotere/cytoxan and the 4th one should be somewhere around March

26th. I saw my plastic surgeon on Monday, Feb 26th and asked him how

soon after the last round of chemo could we do the exchange surgery.

He was really non-committal in his answers, but when he left the room

his nurse said probably 6-8 more weeks. I was crushed. Have any of

you done surgery AFTER finishing up your chemotherapy? If so, how long

between the last chemo and the surgery did you have to wait?
