I kept thinking that I didn't want to burden my husband and kids with a sick wife and mother. I wanted them to have a normal life. Well, its been a year and a half, and things are very normal. Except for a few extra doctor's visits and a scan once a year life is going on exactly like it did before my diagnosis. I had a TT a few weeks after my FNA came back inconclusive but suspicious. I put off RAI until a few months later because I wanted to nurse my daughter until she was a year old. You're right when you say things could be alot worse, but it still isn't easy to deal with a diagnosis like cancer no matter what. Just take one day at a time and take care of yourself. Feel free to email me privately if you want to. ~Kim in NJ pap ca 3.9 cm TT 1/8/02 RAI 7/2/02 clean scan 7/24/03!!!!!!
Guest guest
Thank you very much for making my birthday good. It is like the only greetings I received were from my thyroid group. My family never even acknowledged it. My boyfriend in the end got better. He was so moody and ornery for half the day and we didn't get along, but then he seemed to see that he needed to make things a little better. He took me out to eat and I got to have my Margarita. It was delicious. He got me a new keyboard and candles and bath stuff. But, most of the day he was a bear. I went to bed about 8 p.m., because I was so tired. It just hurts when your own family doesn't even acknowledge you. People have given up so much on me that it is unbelievable. If I had a cut or broken bone or bruises I think they would treat me like I was truly not doing well.
