Guest guest
At long last I have my levels results: TSH: 0.5 Free T4: 16.2 Free T3: 5.1 cortisol: 264 I was assured these are perfectly normal, but I would like some input from folks here. As I told the doctor on reading these, if everything is so normal then why do I feel so crappy all the time?? He mumbled something about psychological factors. hmph. nin

I have seen ranges for T4 posted as 0.9-1.8, 5-12.9-19. 11-24.. now the first 2 labs you would be extremely hyper.. one would but yuo at middle and the other below middle range.. so the magic question is?? what is the range?? Did you have any antibody testing done? Kats3boys
Guest guest
sorry, the range for the TSH was 0.38 to 5.5; Free T4 10.5 to 20; Free T3 3.5 to 6.5; and the Cortisol 140 to 690. didn't have antibodies testing, i was given the impression i was supremely privileged in just getting these 4 done! nin > > TSH: 0.5 > > Free T4: 16.2 > > Free T3: 5.1 > > cortisol: 264 ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Now that's room service! Guest guest
Hi Nin, do you have the ranges for the Free T4 and the Free T3? We need those to be able to see where your levels fall within their ranges... That, and how the two compare to each other tell that tale as to whether or not your numbers are looking good. If you are still having crappy symptoms I'd venture to say that the levels are the Frees are not right. It's not good enough to just have them 'in range'.. It's a lot like saying that the tires are your car are just fine, no matter what the pressure, until they are absolutely flat.. Remember when you were a kids riding a bike, I think most of us rode bikes when we were kids.... with the tires pumped up right the bike was pretty easy to peddle.. but when the tires were low it got pretty hard to peddle didn't it? Makes such a huge difference that distance riders actually carry pumps with them. So.. if you can post those ranges... lets see if your tires have the proper inflation!
