Guest guest
I am so happy to know that you are a 22 years survivor. This gives a lot of support and hope to others. Please give us some suggestions and the precautionary measures that are helpful to avoid reccurrence. What type of diet you are taking? What kind of physical activity or exercises you perform? Some guidance will be helpful for newly diagnosed women who have undergone mastectomy. Taurus
Guest guest
I second that, would be interested in knowing what you did and/or are doing. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sorry, today was a busy day with my now 6 month old grandson. He is just so cute. Looking just like a 'big boy' already. Ooops, sorry for going on like a new Grandma ------ wait a minute, I am a new 'Grandma'. But I'll stop for now. As for my nutrition, I don't do anything really different. I mean I guess I do since I was dx with diabetes when I turned 24 and the cancer didn't show up until I was 39. I went on a very sensible diet, lost weight and have kept to that. So, 36 years with the diabetes diet seems to have done me well. It's an easy diet, contains just about everything (except caffeine) is low fat and I can even treat myself once in awhile with sweets. I do exercise at least 20 minutes a day, either on my treadmill or lifecycle. I feel staying on a sensible diet, not going overboard either too much or too little has worked well for me. I only take the normal vitamins: multi, C and E, no herbs and such. I am on quite a few meds for other medical problems and I don't want to jeopardize them working well with any 'natural' herbs and such. I guess when you get to be my age, you get 'other' things wrong with the body *smile*. I don't know if this helps anyone, but that's my way. You ladies amaze me each and every message I read. What a group of strong, special ladies! Blessings, prayers and positive thoughts to all. Angel (A.K.A. Mari) mfgershman@...
