Guest guest
Next week I see the regular cancer surgeon (vs the Plastic surgeon) for the first time since the major surgery on Jan 18. I assume chemo will be discussed. I just bought this book: " Living through Breast Cancer: What a Harvard Doctor and Survivor Wants You to Know about Getting the Best Care while Preserving Your Self- Image " By Carolyn M. Kaelin, Francesca Coltrera and 3 other books by or with forwards by Carl Simonton, one of the first writers on the mind/body connection. I suppose it is not unusual to feel frustrated that your whole life seems to have to center on BC and treatment. Or at least the limitations on what you can or can't do or plan are those that come from the BC. (a reminder, my BC is Stage 2b, with 2 nodes positive) Arghh. Guest guest
As soon as I was diagnosed, my breast surgeon gave me a copy of this book! I have found it to be a Godsend! I haven't read all the way through it, just looked up the things that were bothering me. It's in our bathroom where my husband and son can also look through it, so it's been helpful for them too.
