Colorado County is EMS is looking for all levels of EMS personnel to boost their part-time staff. This staff will be considered for future full- time positions as they become available due to vacancies or created new positions. You have heard me describe our great county and all the challenges that it can afford to the newbie or the old head. We are a full service EMS service with 9-1-1 and emergency/non-emergency facility to facility transfers. We offer both hourly and paid on-call positions. Frazer units are stationed in Columbus and Weimar with delivery of a new Frazer for Eagle Lake sometime in the fall. We have a new station with comfortable facilities in Columbus and Eagle Lake and plans to begin construction on a Public Safety facility in Weimar. Run volume is approx. 1100 to 1500 runs per year, but our population is growing. We have 3 level 4 trauma centers in the county and are serviced by 3 air medical services.
