We lost a brother to cancer and five weeks after his funeral she was told she had breast cancer. She didnt tell me until June. Come to find out she had a mammagram done 2 yrs prior and the cancer was there then, they didnt read the films correctly. They did the surgery and found out she was a stage 4.. July will be 2 years for her.....She has worked through it all. In December she was triple dosed on Chemo and we almost lost her then, I went to see her finally Christmas of 2006 and spent 10 wonderful days with her..Her hair is comming back in for the 3rd time and she is now salt and pepper colored instead of her brown. That's ok im glad we still have her.....Thank You for Allowing me to join your group. May I post a picture of my sister before her surgery and after? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Rob: Well, when you put in a descritpion of you problems like this, it really helps to also put in your dose and your bloods if you have them. Are you taking meds at this time or have you not been tested yet? I know this is a frustrating time for you and I think its great that you are working. Lets try and keep ya there. sleep is soooo important to having energy during the day. Maybe we have some ideas on how to get the better. Guest guest
Rob: Well you say that your don't think your dose is not enough, but your description of sleeplessness, and multiple bowel movements a day, infers hyperthyroidism. You say you want your bloods re-ran as something else. What do you mean by this? If you had your latest bloods to post, that might be helpful. How long ago did your doc increase you to 125? Would it be a few weeks later that you noticed the symptoms you are describing? As you might have gathered by now...a " normal " assertion from a doc is fairly meaningless. Have you started taking anything new with your thryoid meds? ~E:) --- rob4 rob4@...> wrote: > yes i have hypo. with nodules on both > thyroid glands and take 1.25 levothyroxine a > day but it is not enough and the doc > say the labs are normal > i want to have them all re ran not > blood but the other so we can see > where we are now . i have not had any > testing but blood for a year . > Re: thank you > > > Rob: > > Well, when you put in a descritpion of you > problems > like this, it really helps to also put in your > dose > and your bloods if you have them. > > Are you taking meds at this time or have you not > been > tested yet? > > I know this is a frustrating time for you and I > think > its great that you are working. Guest guest
Rob: Well, you are gonna find it very hard to figure out what is going on with you without getting the actual copies of your labs. They are open to interpretation. Docs don't always see what they should. It can be a frustrating part of the process as doctors do not offer them. You are entitled to have them and you are left to ask outright. If you have begun to tilt hyper, I'd want to get a handle on that before six months are up. THAT would be terrible to have to go all that time feeling that way. You do need to sleep. Have you mentioned this to your doc at all? Do you know if you have antibodies...either of the Graves type of the Hashi type? Those things can effect your labs, and it would be good to know if they are causing the nodules. ~E:) --- rob4 rob4@...> wrote: > i had the meds up in a year ayear > ago next month and all this is new. > i want an ultra sound and uptake scan > done the the needle byop done then up > the meds and do it again in 6 mos as > for the test results they just rattle > them off or say they are normal > Re: thank > you > > > > > > Rob: > > > > Well, when you put in a descritpion of you > > problems > > like this, it really helps to also put in your > > dose > > and your bloods if you have them. > > > > Are you taking meds at this time or have you not > > been > > tested yet? > > > > I know this is a frustrating time for you and I > > think > > its great that you are working.
