We have a church member that has been diagnosed with Stage II-III

breast cancer and also my mom is going through chemo for colon cancer.

I am looking for the BEST websites for them.

I want a website where the husband can post a message and church family

and friends get it, also where we can leave encouraging notes ,

prayers, etc for the family to read. I want one that is people friendly

and we can enter pictures. Please email me if you have some really

good websites. Thank you so much

Hi Kerrie,

I started a group for caregivers, family and friends and just went to get the

url and Yahoo deleted it!! But if anyone is interested in one I will start over

with another one. Good old Yahoo! GRRRRRRR

In there you could discuss your friend, post photos in the photo section etc.

Hugs

hospital, lol. .Thank you thank you for bringing that to my attention

Start a private group on Yahoo. My family has one and we can all

share pictures, messages and even set up polls. I set up a poll to

help me decide on which wig I should buy. I posted the pictures and

had all my family members vote on them. People would have to be

approved for membershsip which keeps out strangers who don't

belong. I is working well for us because I post when I can and all

members get it at once instead of sending out indiviul emails or

phone calls.

Hmmm, my spelling is getting pretty poor. LOL had secnd kemo this

afternoon and am starting to get foggy. hope this helps your family!

Caringbridges is another web site that you can use. I used it when I was

diagnosed and during treatment nearly 4 years ago. If you are curious, it's

still up - have not posted to it for almost 3 years.

http://www.caringbridge.com/mn/gail323/>

I didn't like that people had to check for updates - it didn't automatically

let you know that the site had been updated.

I would consider a blog now and if people go to , they

can check that site for an update to any blog that they read. Hope this

helps.

Picture on the front page was taken after surgery, before chemo.

Plus you can opt to not have it listed in Yahoo Groups. If you need help setting

one up I done several and could set it up for you.
