Guest guest
I just wanted to let yall know that May 2nd Chrystine will have her left kidney and left ureter removed, right ureter stint and reimplantation and possible semi-perm catheter for her bladder-6 hours or so of surgery.... She is having her MRI of her spinal cord on April 30th to determine if she has the tethered cord. Her urologist really believes she does and so do we. The MRI will confirm it-then they will schedule a surgery to repair it. She got her AFO's and is trying her best in them. They are hot pink. Her PT is also getting her a pediatric walker, I can't wait for her! They said the tricky part is finding one small enough for her petite frame. I have tried a regular baby walker and she can't move it-too heavy. We just got back from Cincinnati. Her feeding team-and aero digestive says she needs another endoscopy because she has eosinophilic esophagitis (anyone know much about that?) and they need to see if it has worsened or possibly gotten better. The team is meeting about Chrystine next Wednesday/ and will be calling me with more surgery dates. They're worried about her airway and if she has permanent lung damage from too many aspiration pneumonias... The only way to determine that is another surgery called a brachioscopy (I think)... please send any info yall might have.. thanks in advance to all of yall. chrystal crites ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
