Guest guest
VERY QUICK update...I'm exhausted. Meagan had her tonsillectomy this morning The surgery went well, although the doctor didn't remember the tonsils being so small. He figures it's due to the steroids she was on. Anyhow, recovery was awful. She was in so much pain, and her sats would not stay up. This went on for hours. They finally admitted her into the ICU for closer observation. She seems to be doing better, but her sats still fall into the low 80's in her sleep. They will not discharge until her sats come up and she is not apnic any longer. The swelling should go down in the next day or so, so we wait. I hope this surgery was successful...otherwise the next step is a trache. I'm not ready to go there. Off to bed. 3:30 came far to quickly this morning. By, the way, when I left the hospital, Meagan was nuzzled in daddy's arms. He has the magic touch! , mommy to Meagan (CHaRgE) and 2 year old twins, and big brother 4 1/2 years, married to the best daddy in the world for 10 years! The mention of my child's name might make me cry. Not mentioning my child's name will break my heart. Unknown

Guest guest
Dear , I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. Those early, early morning hospital treks are among the most difficult because nobody gets any sleep! Keep us posted on how Meagan is doing. Let's hope she is ready to come home soon with a greatly improved airway. Sending love and prayers for healing your way. Mom to Kendra, and Camille Meagan is in ICU VERY QUICK update...I'm exhausted. Guest guest
, When Peyton had his T & A it was a very touchy 24 hrs in the PICU. He had a very hard time. Once the swelling went down, it was the(outside of his heart surgeries) surgery that gave him the biggest quality of life imrpovment! No more obstructiion during sleep! Hope Meagan's already doing better! Corrie > > , > My thoughts and prayers are with you and Meagan. Guest guest
, I'm so sorry to hear about Meagan's rough recovery. You may have not had a chance to read my post a few days ago about Ethan's tonsil surgery/recovery which was a few weeks ago. He too had a lot of problems, not with pain, but he ended up getting pneumonia. He does have a trach so I think that is why we were able to manage it at home. He is on steriods and antiobiotic right now. Do they have her on tylenol with codeine for the pain? Please let us know how she is doing.
