Guest guest
I had to go for a physical for surgery and they did thyroid labs. Cytomegalovirus (CMV, IgG CMV Ab, IgG (Cytomegalovirus) 7.8 positive >1.0 Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Ab, Igm <.9 negative <.9 Those tests were ran because Epstein barr virus came back really high. Anyone know anything about this test. TSH ..001 ref. .35-5.5 T4, free 1.16 ref .61 – 1.76 T3, free 4.7 ref: 2.3 – 4.2 There is a note under the labs that says: a low TSH with a normal FT4 and an elevated Ft3 would be suggestive of T3 thyrotoxicosis in the appropriate clinical setting. I was on 3 grains of armour when these tests were ran, I’m now on T4 and 3 grains armour and cortef. hugs Micki Health Eating and Living Together http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/he2gether_/ www.stopthethyroidmadness.com

This would be a good diagnosis if you were not on any meds or did not have a diagnosis yet. That said with your T3 high and you increased your Armour since then? How are you feeling? What symptoms do you have? Kats3boys
Guest guest
I don't know what symptoms I have. I think that might be a good sign. We'll see after surgery. I'm so stressed right now and I'm sick on top of that. Probably why I got sick. When they added the cortef and T4 (added separately) i was tired still, I'm starting to feel better. But they are adding coumadin after the surgery for 6 weeks so who knows what will go on with my thyroid, coumadin can do so much to the thyroid and the meds. I think the pain in my foot is starting to go away, that's a good sign. Usually when my thyroid is off there is one spot on my heal that hurts and they've ruled out everything else, they have no idea why it hurts. But the chiro agrees that it's very possible my thyroid because our body does weird things. Oh and that is what I thought about the little note on the labs. But wanted confirmation. Thanks hugs Micki Health Eating and Living Together http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/he2gether_/ www.stopthethyroidmadness.com Re: latest labs any input There is a note under the labs that says: a low TSH with a normal FT4 and > an elevated Ft3 would be suggestive of T3 thyrotoxicosis in the appropriate > clinical setting.
