It seems I recall having read, somewhere along the line, that

allergies can boost WBC count.

April 05 my WBC was within normal. Aug of 05 it was slightly

elevated. I battled some infections, it went down and it's back up

again.

Honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin to find the culprit. I did

find, after ingesting alot of garlic on my food, my tongue was

sensitive. Though, maybe it was because it was just too much at one

time.

When it comes to food, my instincts say to eat a wide variety.

I'm more inclined to think that if I have an allergy, it'd have more

to do with air. Really, I am at a loss.

I did purchase a Pur water dispenser to help remove chlorine. I've

been leery of our city water supply.

I wish you the absolute best in the no smoking!! What I found to help

me out in this area is patches and narrowing the way I handled it. I

am nearly certain that I would have made it, had I not been feeling

so awful (outside no smoking) and had an empathetic/supportive

husband.

In quitting, initially it was so utterly frustrating. Every day and

worse the first 10 days, I felt like (so to speak) every 10 minutes

or so, like I was smacking into an invisible wall. My system was

telling me it was missing something. Uh-huh. When you think of how

much you smoke a day and for how long you have been smoking...no

doubt, you will feel this way frequently. I was getting overwhelmed.

It was terrible and then I began to look at it differently: rather

than think about what I had been going through and what I would be

going through...I just focused on getting through one pang at a time.

Narrow your focus. This I found, there seems to be spurts that your

mind works overtime in playing tricks on you: " Well, if I just smoke

a puff and let it be...I won't smoke again. "

That happened to me, I snook a puff but not willing to cave

in...forgot about it. Eventually, it won out and I think it

did...because of everything else I had been feeling.

On top of all this, there was a conflict in my marriage. I figured it

out and resolved it.

I think if I could get myself to remotely feel better, having dealt

with and resolved a conflict...I could make it my second go 'round.

I wish you all my best kat!!
