Guest guest
Just a few notes on myself, and see if it gives you an idea. A few years ago I had a lot of stomach and throat problems..went the GI doc route and the scope and other tests.. I was allergic to the chlorine in the water, got a reverse osmosis system and use it fo rall cooking, mixing, drinking etc.. problem solved.. Bounce ahead to being sent back to the allergist as I was having a few reactions( severe) he looks me over and notices the goiter, starts the whole thyroid cycle testing etc..although I eat healthy anyways, I grab the B-Complex..whole foods..make sure I am eating healthy etc.. Well turns out I am allergic to the B 12, the antibacterial in the hand soap I was using, not to mention a whole lot of foods high in nickel etc. It is hard to explain..soy is out, and it is in everything..shellfish and fish are out and things like lettuce is out..none of them really bugged me until I had them out of my system for a good month. Today before work I took the boys to DQ..too bad for me the fries were cooked in the same oil as the shrimp..and I could tell after 2 fries.. What happens is they have gone from being type 4 delayed reactions to type 1 immediate reactions. With the type 4 delayed reaction the body is in constant attack..too many allergens, the WBC tends to be in the higher end of the range. The body is in a constant state of inflammation, and a lot of medical literature tends to refer to this stage as the pre autoimmune state. By taking my allergies and avoiding them they are becoming type 1 allergic responses is the immediate response and what you would expect for an allergic reaction. But it has lowered my WBC into a much more exceptable range which means less inflammation and less damage to my body. As far as the smoking goes..I should not be preaching as I am in the process of quitting myself..so I know all the traps..for me cigarette smoke is only second to food for nickel content. Not to mention that it causes inflammation in the body..inflammation leads to damage. Kats3boys
