Guest guest
I had joint pain, especially ankles for several days after chemo, but nine days after I started to itch. I've been miserable. One day back of my hands felt like were coming back after fell asleep, you know when blood supply is cut off then comes back. Went on for about six hours. Most other has been here and there, upper arms, sides, feet, etc. I am taking cool showers as heat seems to make worse. Anybody else had this? What do you do to help? Guest guest
I had the same thing in my hands (a little in my feet)...the itchy tingly feeling like it feels when the blood supply is coming back. What I did, with (without asking anyone, so I have no idea if it was wise to do)...I took my heating pad, removed the protective cover put it on high and wrapped my hands/feet around it! Not sure if it really helped, or it was just so hot it took my mind of the itching!. All I know is it helped... I had to do something because that sensation was driving me up a wall!! Once I stopped taking the Taxol the problem lasted for a couple of more weeks, then went away. Hope this helps, or you find relief some other way!! just re-read your note...saw where heat makes it worse..just once again shows we all react differently!. I originally tried ice packs my hands, but it didn't help me. > > I had joint pain, especially ankles for several days after chemo, but > nine days after I started to itch. I've been miserable.
