Guest guest
Hello to everyone... I hope I have not started a debate that will cause anyone to have mixed feelings or sadness about whether or not to have treatment.... I simply was curious about the women who posted having not done anything and supposedly is cured! I know as a group that we are supposed to vent and get things off our minds, but I feel really bad reading about the back forth posts regarding who chooses what kind of treatment. I know everyone has to do what is right for them.. I hope you all choose the right path, I'm sorry I started this, hopefully we are all thankful that we are here RIGHT NOW and will deal with tomorrow later. Guest guest
Hi Michele, I don't think you did anything wrong. Your questions were valid. I am always curious to know why women chose or don't chose to have traditional treatment vs. wholistic, reconstruction vs. not. My concern is always when one way is presented as the only way, or is presented as a guaranteed cure. Or when I think women are doing or not doing something without thinking it through. I think the majority of women in this group probably have gone the traditional route, but as I said before, I respect Ruth's decision because I think she researched and came up with the right decision for her given her family history. take care,
Guest guest
Michele, You didn't start anything so don't worry. It just happens that I have personal experience with women that went the unconventional route and aren't here and it really hits me hard to hear that others might do this. Guest guest
I agree that Ruth made the decision that she felt was right for her because of all of the family history. Guest guest
Good heavens, , you have done absolutely nothing wrong. We are simply haveing a civilized discussion regarding treatment options. We are all different, all have different circumstances and will make our decisions based on those circumstances. There is no one size fits all, with Breast Cancer. What ever our personal choice I would hope we would feel supported, here! Guest guest
I'm doing conventional treatment for my BC because doctors know a lot about how to treat BC compared to some other types of cancer. My friend's husband was diagnosed w/ pancreatic cancer at about 38. His onc wanted to give him chemo but told him that he would die in less than 5 years of cancer, w/ or w/o the chemo. My friend's husband chose unconventional treatments (strict organic diet and some sort of injections of shark tissue) for about 4 years and then was involved in a couple of clinical trials. He lived about 7 years w/ his cancer. His goal was to live long enough to make sure his children would be old enough to remember him, and he succeeded. > > Hi Michele, > > I don't think you did anything wrong. Your questions were valid.
