Guest guest
Well, I just had the raiu scan done. It showed there are nodules on the right as well as the left. Even though the left side are larger, the right side are not functioning. Doc said the goiters are large, and the anti-thyroglobulin levels were high...498 (under 20 is normal). These right side nodules were not on my ultrasound scan the end of February. He said the Hashi is aggressive with me, and if the synthroid doesn't help, I will most likely need surgery. He started me on 75 mcg, and wants to see me in 6 weeks. Still, my function tests are considered in the " normal " range: T4 7.2 (5.13 - 14.06 ug/dl) T-uptake 1.13 (0.80 - 1.30 TBI) Free thyroxine 6.4 (4.8 - 12.7 ug/dl) TSH 2.8 (0.270 - 4.20 mIU/L) Beth
