Hello All-

I got my latest labs on Wednesday. I was going to see my endo on

Friday, but he didn't show up to work, so hopefully this week I'll

see him. I'm currently taking .225 g of a synthetic T4. I'm also

29 weeks pregnant (today!).

Free T4: 1.62 (0.8-1.9)

Free T3: 5.32 (1.57-4.71)

TSH: 0.036 (0.4-4)

I still feel fine. I am tired at the end of the day but I don't

know if it is thyroid-related or pregnancy-related. Yesterday I

cleaned the whole apartment, vacuumed, mopped, did laundry, dusted,

scrubbed both bathrooms and had company last night (which isn't why

I cleaned, lol, because I started cleaning the place before I knew

they were coming!). Today I'll be ironing.

I know another pregnant woman who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism

and she and I have not gained much weight. I've started my third

trimester and she's in the middle of her second. She's lost three

pounds from her pre-pregnancy weight and I've put on under ten

pounds. Is this from the meds...helping our metabolisms work or are

we just lucky? ;) (She gained 60 and 80 pounds with her first two

pregnancies and I gained about 35).

I think I read a post within the past couple of days saying that

it's possible to still be hypo and have numbers showing hyper? Is

this right? I'm honestly not sure if I'm hypo or hyper. (I was

hypo when I was diagnosed). As I said, I feel fine. Why is

this??? I'm not hoping to feel as bad as I did a few months

ago...I'm just wondering why I feel good and perhaps people with the

same lab results as mine could feel horrible.

Have a healthy day!

Wow guess we in the states should not complain. I have friends who send the doc a bill if they wait longer than 15 minutes. How long have you lived in Turkey. Sounds like life is not dull. Best, bubbe Gittel************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

I'm not military. My husband is Turkish (Actually he is Kurdish, but it's against the law to proclaim a Kurdish background--since everyone living in Turkey is Turkish and better be proud of it)... I'm a school teacher here.

The doctor just didn't show up. In Turkey, people go to the hospital, take a number and wait. If your number isn't called, too bad for you. People wait overnight to get numbers so their number will be called so they can see the doctor. My husband got a number, but the people waiting in line didn't find out that the doctor wasn't going to come in for some reason. Women who needed prescriptions for their diabetes were crying and men were yelling. We'll go sometime this week and hopefully the doctor shows up.

I gained 40 with my first, and lost weight with my second. I lost weight the entire time, until the last 3 weeks when I finally got back to my pre-pregnancy weight. The doctor never seemed concerned, I was eating fine, and the baby was healthy. Good Luck! SheilaDawn wrote: Hello All-I got my latest labs on Wednesday. I've been known to throw fits in waiting rooms... If I'm left waiting too long and continually given the line that he's running late.....

"Well... I took time off work.. got here on time, early even... and I'm losing money sitting here for nothing... I'll be making another appointment, that had better be kept by the doc, and I'll be checking with my insurance carrier to make sure that there is no charge made for the appointment the doc didn't bother to show up for today!!!

Then I storm out the door... I've had folks follow me when i do that too... It seldom happened again at the same clinic.. they don't like it when people just up and walk out.

I have an attitude about that stuff.. if I can get my butt in gear and be where I need to be when I need to be there I expect the same from others. It's simple courtesy and respect to be on time.. and when it's costing me money (lost wages and against the insurance that I was paying dearly for) give me the service that I pay for !

Have you noticed they tend to be on time more often if it's your first time there than if you are a regular, with a recurring condition, like thyroid? It's like they label you as being insignificant or something...

You know my mother o f blessed memory had a way of looking at waits in doc's offices. She would say it could mean that the doc is taking time with a patient who needs it and if you ever need it doc will do it for you. Just another viewpoint. My allergist is like that.. but yeah if my appointment lasts 45 mins

he takes 45 mins, never hurrys you out the door so I don't really

mind waiting and be late for him.

When I go inot an empty office and they are all sitting around

gabbing and I am left waiting forever then I get upset.
