Guest guest
I went looking at elbow braces... I find this fascinating... I came up with an idea that I thought would be helpful... and when I go to look at the braces with Kats3's suggestion... what do I see? Pretty much the same thing that I made for myself using a sock http://www.painreliever.com/captainsports_cselelbow.html I cut off the toe end of the sock and have the elasticized top of the sock, that is normally over the ankle to keep the sock up, pulled over the elbow.. it happens to be the right fit for my arm... and pretty much is doing exactly what that particular brace in the pic shows... I did a bit more googling and found this.. pretty much fits to a T what we were just discussing here... it's affecting the inner and out aspects of my elbow... all the motions that they describe as causing pain do... exactly. So.. guess I'm wearing my home made brace for a while... gonna change how I pick up machines from now on... though I think stuff is gonna stay put for a while, it seems to be working with this arrangement. Now I don't feel so dumb... I shouldn't have been doing what I was doing... lifting with that reach and angle... but it's linked back to tendon issues.. something that I've been dealing with since the RAI.. For now I'm planning on going for my walk starting Monday.. but if anyone laughs at me for how I walk I'm gonna knock 'em on their butt... I'll be walking with concentration for proper heal to ball of foot step to make sure that all my feet and leg tendons are lined up and in order. My first days' walk will be the half block to the bottom of our little hill and back up... just to get used to it... Most likely will be that same little route for the first week. To make sure that all is well BEFORE I get too far from the house and in trouble. I just knew that if I ran stuff by you guys you'd be seeing stuff that I wasn't catching.... Cool...
