Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have recently joined this group. My son, Arjan, now 5.5, recently was diagnosed with Apraxia. He has some other medical conditions, and that is the reason he wasn't diagnosed till now. I have been reading your postings and have learned a lot. One of the suggestions was about Sensory program (Sensorylearning.com) for children with Sensory integration issues. I contacted them and I got the info about 'Sensory Learning Center' in Illinois, Oak Brook. I was wondering if anyone has tried it, and if the result was encouraging. They charge $2500 for 12 days, twice daily for 30 minutes, that you take the child to their office and they use Movement, Listening and Light therapy, and after 12 days they give you a light (therapy light) that you take home for another 18 days and have your child in a dark room and use the light for stimulation twice a day. If anyone has tried it before and has any feedback, I would appreciate it. Thanks everyone for all your postings and sharing. Mitra
