We provide 911 ambulance service and indigent care for the 400,000+ citizens of our County which is located adjacent to Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will serve as Associate EMS Director and will lead a highly skilled team providing medical oversight and performance improvement. They will work closely with our Medical Director - Jay L. Kovar, MD. We are looking for a person with experience managing healthcare quality, a strong clinical background, and knowledge of EMS oversight. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading Six Sigma projects across the District. MCHD EMS responds to over 40,000 calls per year with 20+ ambulances and 4 Field Supervisors on duty each day. Our Communications Center is an Accredited Center of Excellence. We have a long history of excellence, having consistently been recognized for innovation. We have conducted and published clinical research, been recognized for our early defibrillation programs, and have served as a system showcase for the National Association of EMS Physicians.
