Guest guest
Liz, It is amazing what kids can do once their heart is healthy. We saw such a dramatic change in Vinny once his heart was repaired. Here is a piece of unsolicited advice, and I certainly don't mean to scare you, but PLEASE make sure EVERYONE washes their hands and that all staff wear gloves anytime they are around . Make sure his incision is covered at all times. We didn't know enough to do this and the top of Vinny's incision was uncovered. We think that some saline from his nose found its way to his incision and he developed a life threatening infection. He survived, but I don't want to have to experience something that seems to be so easily prevented. Our prayers are with you and your family!!! Love, ina, mom to Luca (3) & Vinny (16 months w/ cHARgE) --- liz_dolz wrote: > is back at Doernbecher and they have decided to > do his heart > surgery It will be done tomorrow!!
