Do we know when all of the services will provide the outerlink data so

the symbols will give the actual position of the helicopter? For a

while, if you clicked the AEL helos' symbol it gave the actual

position (i.e. 0.7 mi NNW of Mineral Wells hospital). Now even that

is gone. This was supposed to be actual positions with the symbols

moving along the actual position path. When it is listed as simply

available and call dispatch, it really doesn't help to truly send the

closest.

You are on the NCTTRAC Air Medical committee, right? What has

happened to this? Who is and who is not giving the outerlink data?

Those that are, my dispatchers can get useful info from the map for,

all others...

I actually use this feature frequently. In fact I just did for a

patient that I am transferring. Unfortunately, if some are not

providing the data, I am afraid no one will. This is very useful

information.

Which committee will this be discussed in? I don't think I will be

able to make it, but would like to be sure my services/facilities have

representation when this is discussed.

Chris: What is the timeline to have this function enable for all HEMS

providers in the RAC? The other problem that I've run into is that if

you set your notifications to let you know when they update status, you

will get multiple texts every minute.
