I'll try to get back in the swing of things...I am looking into a largely unknown type of reconstruction (after researching until my eyeballs crossed). Since they recently (and finally) have uncrossed from the initial onslaught...onslaught... I for a recrossing : ) Jen Hello, I am fairly new here myself but have been recently posting after lurking for some months.. mostly because I had questions that my docs were not able to tackle, and mostly because I am like yourself a 'researcher'. But most important of all, I found I was not as much of a loner as I thought after reading all of the support here.. Can I ask what form of new reconstruction you are looking into?? I have been doing quite a bit of research myself on Diep Siea and Free Tram Flap.. VS implant reconstruction..I am due for an exchange of expanders here soon that is why I ask.. I have come across the name of a doctor in Texas that does the Diep and reattaches a nerve so that she is successful around 30% of the time getting sensation back..?? But that is in Texas and I am in California.. Anyway, Welcome back to the group from a newbie.. Cheryl
Guest guest
Reattaching the nerves sounds great! I've had a bilateral mastectomy, and I am not interested in reconstruction until they find a way to restore sensation. I don't want any body parts I can't feel. > > Jen said.. > > I'll try to get back in the > swing of things...I am looking > into a largely unknown type of > reconstruction (after researching > until my eyeballs crossed).
